I put together my mom's birthday present and shipped it off. I don't want to reveal what I got her until March 6th (her birthday).

I went to Katie's baby shower today and won the Guess the Girth game! You cut a piece of yarn that you think will fit around the mother's waist. I'm a winner!

I tried BodyPump. It's a weight lifting group fitness program. I'm already sore.

John and I are celebrating Valentine's Day today instead of this past Tuesday. We were too busy that day to really do anything special. I made this magical fort in the living room while he was in class. Hooray!

After Beans' visit to the vet to get his shots, we took him to Lowe's. They allow dogs in the store. It's important for him to experience different smells and sounds. He got sleepy towards the end, though.

We took Beans to puppy school. He's learning how to sit and lie down. I'm so excited to work on his tricks!

I spent the day acting in The Dance of Hands, but I managed to put this little video together when I got home. Beans' first visit to the park!

I actually meant to take a picture of the dinner that John and I prepared for some of the Dance of Hands actors. This will just have to do.

I invented feet/calf protectors. I have to wear these whenever I go into the kitchen (where Beans' lair is) to protect myself from sharp teeth that love socks and human flesh.

We took Beans downtown and around North Campus today. He enjoyed meeting new people and chasing me around Herty Field.

I made a sling for carrying Beans. He can't walk around public places until he gets all of his shots, but it is important for him to experience new environments. I grabbed 1.5 yards of fleece fabric at Walmart and sewed the ends together. Ta-da! Beans carrier!

Beans and I have something in common. We both make weird noises with our mouths when we sleep.

I will be driving to Alabama tomorrow to teach Native American children the basics of editing on Final Cut Pro. I decided to make my syllabus the magic thing of the day. I'm not posting it because it's pretty boring.

We took this footage on Friday, but I just pieced it together. Josh (one of the actors in The Dance of Hands) missed out on the cookie cake we bought for him because he was celebrating with his giiirrllfrieend. So I made this video of us enjoying it! Happy birthday, Josh!

I got my haircut for The Dance of Hands movie. Ahh! It's so short! Good thing I like acting in funny films.

I made an infinity scarf! This tutorial shows you how. Check out the different ways to wear it here. It was really easy. I also got to break in my new sewing machine. Hooray!

I made white bean and tortellini soup! Here is a similar recipe. I used chicken broth instead of water/vegetable broth and kale instead of spinach. Special thanks to Marlene for giving me this recipe. It was very yummy. I can't wait for leftovers tomorrow!

Happy MLK day! I made a chalkboard menu. We're going to start planning our dinners at the beginning of the week. I just need to find a place to hang this.

Recently my cousin posted this on facebook. In case you did not know, stock photography (according to Wikipedia) is the supply of photographs licensed for specific uses. It is used to fulfill the needs of creative assignments instead of hiring a photographer. Today, stock images can be presented in searchable online databases. They can be purchased and delivered online. Often, they are produced in studios using a wide variety of models posing as professionals, stereotypes, expressing stereotypical emotions and gesticulations or involving pets.

I felt bad for these unusable stock photos...so I made a video for them.

Day 12

I made thank you cards. Gratitude is so important for mental well-being. This picture is from the card I made for Marlene's mother, Marie. All of the cards had a vintage theme. I am grateful for all of the gifts I received this past Christmas--both physical and spiritual. 2012 is going to be a wonderful year!

Day 11

Today, I made calories disappear. John got me this book and a membership to UGA's gym for Christmas. This week all the group fitness classes are free. I did Kick & Sculpt. Luckily, I have been practicing kickboxing combinations at home thanks to a workout video on Netflix instant watch. I'm still pretty wiped out.

Day 10

Today, I was a substitute for a kindergarten class. I taught students how to measure different objects with linking cubes, we discussed the many types of transportation, and I took them to the career fair. It is magical to witness these children actually wanting to learn. AND THEY HUG! The hugs were my favorite part. Oh, and debating whether Santa was 40 or 1,000 years old.

Today, I made something magical happen. I can't really show it to you. It has to do with my mind and my perception of the world. Today, I ignored fear and chose the path of forgiveness and love. My main goal for 2012 is to continue this new outlook. I also want to take this chance to express my gratitude for the people in my life. I wish you all love and joy.
